Center — Returning to Yourself
(This is the companion tool that pairs with the reflection.)

Purpose

This reflection tool helps you gently reconnect with:

  • who you are beyond the caregiving role
  • what you need to feel balanced and whole
  • how to hold both love and exhaustion at the same time

There are no right answers.

You may return to this reflection whenever you feel lost or disconnected from yourself.

✍️ Reflection Prompts

1. Right now, in this moment, am I breathing freely — or holding my breath?
(Pause. Take three slow breaths. Notice what you feel.)
2. Who am I beneath the caregiver role?
(What qualities, interests, or parts of myself still exist, even when I can't always see them?)
3. Which compass direction am I most drawn to right now?
(North/Purpose, East/Renewal, South/Rest, or West/Release — and what does that tell me about what I need?)
4. What is one kind thing I can say to myself today about the work I'm doing?
(As if speaking to a dear friend who is carrying what you carry.)
