🌱 Personal Reflection Tool
North — Grounding in Your Why
(This is the companion tool that pairs with the reflection.)
Purpose
This reflection tool helps you gently reconnect with:
- the deeper reasons you said yes to caregiving
- what matters most to you about showing up
- the meaning beneath the exhaustion
There are no right answers.
You may return to this reflection when you've lost sight of why you're doing this.
✍️ Reflection Prompts
1. What originally drew me to say yes to this caregiving role?
(Love, duty, obligation, no other choice, values...)
2. On my hardest days, what truth can I return to about why this matters?
(This person matters to me. I'm honoring my values. I couldn't live with myself if I walked away...)
3. What do I hope this person knows — or will remember — about the care I've given?
(That they were loved, that they weren't alone, that they mattered...)
4. When I look back on this season someday, what will I want to remember about why I stayed?
(Not the tasks, but the meaning behind them.)
🌿 Closing Pause
Take one slow breath in.
Exhale gently.
If it helps, return to the affirmation:
Even small acts of care are worthy offerings.
