South — Honoring Your Need for Rest
(This is the companion tool that pairs with the reflection.)

Purpose

This reflection tool helps you gently identify:

  • what your body and spirit are asking for
  • what beliefs about rest might be blocking you
  • one small way to honor your need for restoration

There are no right answers.

You may return to this reflection when exhaustion feels overwhelming.

✍️ Reflection Prompts

1. If my body could speak right now, what would it say it needs most?
(Sleep, nourishment, movement, stillness, touch, water...)
2. What belief or fear prevents me from resting when I need to?
(I don't have time. They need me. Rest is selfish. I'll lose control if I stop...)
3. What is the smallest form of rest I could accept today without guilt?
(A 10-minute nap, sitting while I eat, saying no to one task, asking for help...)
4. Who or what could support me in protecting one hour of rest this week?
(A family member, respite care, letting something go, rearranging the schedule...)
